Student opportunities and activities
At Upper Lansdowne Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs may include:
- school sport, athletics and inter-school competitions
- music program with the Australian Children's Music Foundation
- excursions and incursions
- annual swimming intensive program
- activities that support high potential and gifted learners.

Our extra-curricular highlights
School sport and inter-school competitions
Students participate in a variety of sports taught by Sporting Schools coaches funded by the Australian Sports Commission grants.
Recent sports have included; hockey, softball, volleyball, athletics, basketball, cricket.
Music program
Our students have been experiencing weekly music lessons with a music teacher from the Australian Children's Music Foundation (ACMF).
We recently participated and entered into the ACMF songwriting competition. Instruments the students have learned and experienced so far are; drums, violin, ukelele xylophone, other percussion instruments.
Trips, excursions and incursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things, helping them grow, build confidence, connecting their learning to the world.

- camps to Taronga Zoo and Adventure Centres
- a variety of educational theatre performances
- environmental and health education incursions
